What Does Online Mean to You?

Many participants take this as their first online course, with no prior online experience, and certainly it's not expected that you will enter this course knowing anything about online education. Still, many particpants do have a general conception of what is involved in online education. In this forum, post a 2-or-more sentence description of online learning as you currently conceive of it. We will be able to come back to these definitions at the end of the course to see how our conceptions have changed.

In addition, please formulate at least one question that you would like to see answered in this course and post it as well.

To post your initial message (also known as "starting a thread"), click on the words Add a new discussion topic.... in blue, below. Please include your name in the title of your posting ("Bill's Conception of OL Learning").

As new messages are posted, they will be listed at the bottom of this page. To read someone else's message, click on the title of their message.

After you have read a classmate's message, if you want to respond, click on the word REPLY , in blue, in the lower-right-hand corner of the box containing the text of their message.

Please post your definition and question(s) before Midnight (CST) on the last day of Orientation week (see Calendar for exact date).
