Workshop Details

This workshop will provide participants with the knowledge needed to create, manage and teach high quality, interactive, fully online or Web enhanced courses. Participants will use Microsoft FrontPage to design course syllabi and other documents that conform to best practices for online courses. Learning activities will include presentations, discussions of imporant issues, exploration of example online courses, and hands on training with FrontPage.

After completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. discuss the benefits and disadvantages of online learning
  2. list characteristics of scucessful online instructors and students
  3. list characteristics of high-quality online courses
  4. discuss the advantages and disadvantages of technologies in online learning
  5. discuss the importance of interaction in the online classroom
  6. discuss the benefits of collaborative learning
  7. create online course documents using Microsoft FrontPage
